It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Xavier Nelson of Vienna, West Virginia, born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, who passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Nelson and Mary Ethel Nelson (O'Mealey). He is survived by: his wife Shirlee Ann Nelson of Vienna, WV; his children, Michael Nelson (Laura) of St. Marys, WV and Julie Ferguson (Gary) of The Villages, FL; and his grandchildren, Bridget Judy, Brenton Nelson, JoAnn Allen, Hannah Knight and Brooke Knight. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church.
