She was predeceased by: her parents, William L. Brand and Hazel Evans Brand; her husband Charles E. Parsons; and her siblings, Ada Richards, Wilma Garten and Paul Brand.
She is survived by: her sister Geneva Nichols of Beckley; her children, Charlotte P. Layne (John) of Wilton, Sarah Jane Beorn (Fred) of Wexford and Stephen B. Parsons (Lorene) of Kirksville, Missouri; and her grandchildren, John A. Layne of Chicago, Nathan P. Layne of Wilton, Mark D. Layne of Norwalk, Kimberly Ladage of Auburn, Amanda Browning of Fishers, Julie Frias of Peabody, Samuel Parsons of Richmond, Virginia and Eunice. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family also appreciates the compassionate care she received at Camden Clark while in the COVID unit.
