He is survived by: his spouse Carol Hathaway (Richardson); his children, Ernest Ray Hathaway (Candy) and Shannon Stephanie Offenberger (Joshua); his granddaughter Anna Caroline of Vienna, WV.; his siblings, James David Hathaway (Lorene) of Elkview, WV and Loretta Propst (Roger) of Grantsville, WV; and his brother-in-law Stanley Richardson of Vienna, WV..
