He was predeceased by: his parents, Chalmer Lowe and Beulah H. McFadden Monroe; his wife Patsy A. Modesitt Monroe; and his son-in-law James Sullivan. He is survived by: his children, Julie Sullivan of Vienna, Edward L. Monroe (Anna) of Sacramento, CA and B. J. Haught (JoAnna) of Summersville, SC; and his brother Raymond Monroe (Marsha) of Washington, WV. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
