It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Grimmett Sr. (Verner, West Virginia), who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Grimmett and Nida Grimmett (Walls); his wife Bertha Grimmett (Brumfield); and his siblings, Vicie Boone (Sissy), Rispie Phillips (Rip), Bessie Grimmett (Parker), Betty Earnest, Alfred Jr. and Ronald Ray Grimmett.
He is survived by: his sons, Hunter Grimmett, Walter Grimmett, Jr. (Bobby) and Brian Grimmett of North Carolina; the mother of his children Lucille Benson of Nitro; his sisters, Janice Hendricks of Riverview, Virginia Walls (Hunkie) of Gilbert Creek, Kay Mullins (Lloyd) of Tamcliffe and Sheena Sydnor (Richard) of Oakhill; his granddaughter Candace Grimmett of Oceana; and his great grandchildren, Abel and Axel Lamb of Nitro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relative and friends.
