He is survived by: his parents, Leon Gear and Lura Gear (White) of West Liberty, WV.; his wife Tammy Gear (Hunt) of Valley Grove, WV; his sons, Timothy Gear of Florida and Leon Gear (Kristin) of Follansbee, WV; his brothers, Jimmy Gear of Wellsburg, WV, David Gear of West Liberty, WV and Mark Gear (Stacey) of Beech Bottom, WV; and his sister-in-law Kelly Gear. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, a great granddaughter.
