He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswald Jackson Armstrong and Lelia Simmons Armstrong; his brothers, David, Tommy and Jeff Armstrong; and his brother-in-law Roger Matney.
He is survived by: his children, Nicole Matthew (Timothy Kip) of Valley Head and Jack Armstrong (Jordan Fincham) of Mill Creek; his grandchildren, Leila Lansberry (CJ) of Valley Head, Tracey Matthew and Timothy Jay Matthew; his great grandchildren, Bransen, Alivia and Creed; and his sisters, Sharon Matney of Sterling, VA and Delores Shiflett (Tom) of Cedar Bluff, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
