He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester William VanMeter and Dorothy Marie VanMeter (Helmick). He is survived by: his spouse Ruthlene Morral VanMeter; his children, Ruth VanMeter of Upper Tract, WV and Michael Lynn VanMeter of Petersburg, WV; his siblings, Cathy Pence of Ft. Seybert, WV, Donnie Lee VanMeter (Ruth) of Upper Tract, WV and Lester "Petie" VanMeter of Upper Tract, WV; and his grandchildren, Zachary, Ashley, Destiny, Josie, Michael, Travis and Brooklyn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
