He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaine Ferguson and Thelma Ferguson (Shehan); his brother Brian Ferguson; and his niece Heather Hamilton. He is survived by: his wife Donna Mae Ferguson (Smith); his sisters, Karen Tully of Lewistown, PA and Joy Stickler (Josh) of Lewistown, PA; his siblings-in-law, Sherry Pennington of Upper Tract, WV and Herald Smith (Judy) of Hinton, VA; his nieces, Brittany Roy (Cody), Tina Wine (Roger) and Jenna Laughlin; his nephew Brady Feathers; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aidynn, Rylan DeShawne, Rhiannon and Autumn Roy.
