He was predeceased by: his parents, Dayton Mowery and Edith Mowery (Streets); his wife Rebecca June "Becky" Mitchell Mowery; and his siblings, Orville Coolidge Mowery, Gordon "Trig" Mowery, Mabel Flanagan, Viola "Toots" Shreve and Thelma Leona Hedrick.

He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Shay "Mandy" Mowery; his grandson Andrew Dayton Clark Mowery of Upper Tract, WV; and his siblings, Nancy Sites of Upper Tract, WV and Maurice "Tom" Mowery of Petersburg, WV..
