He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Evans and Sandra Evans; and his sister Tammy Smith. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Evans; his stepsons, Tim Blair and Christopher Blair; his siblings, Joey Evans, Curtis Evans and Penny Alderson; his grandchildren, Jamie and Felicia; his great grandchildren, T. J. and Austin; and his grandmother Evelyn Proctor.
