With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Ann Herndon of Tunnelton, West Virginia, who passed away on September 23, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Matlick and Virgie Matlick (Wolfe); her husband John Wesley Herndon; and her brother Carl Matlick. She is survived by: her children, Mark D. Herndon (Frances "Butch") and Renee M. Wolfe (Larry) of Tunnelton; her grandchildren, Melissa Dawn Herndon of Tunnelton, Matthew Dillon Herndon (Makayla Kelly) and Tressa Ann Wolfe of Morgantown; her great grandchild Liam Wesley Herndon; and her siblings, Jerry (Russie) of Tunnelton, Fran Harris of Albright, Barb Miller (Bill) of Shinnston and Roy Matlick (Judy) of Shepherdstown, WV. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
