He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Stanley Messenger and Thelma Messenger Watkins (Nice); his wife Tacy Messenger (Wodzenski); his son David Lynn Messenger; and his sisters, Ima Storts and Geraldine (Richard "Dick Bolyard).
He is survived by: his son Paul "Butch" (Carolyn Messenger) of Tunnelton; his grandsons, Michael Scott (Vanessa Messenger), Barry Wayne (Jennifer Messenger) and Zachary Kyle Messenger of Tunnelton; his great grandchildren, Dustin Messenger, Kacey Messenger and Gemma Messenger; and his brother-in-law Rodney Storts of Planet City.
