It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Burns Sr. of Thomas, West Virginia, who passed away on January 11, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Glenn and Dora Elizabeth Burns (Losh); his former wife Dorthy Burns of Virginia; and his siblings, Loye Ira Burns and Regina Louise Fresh.
He is survived by: his wife Rhoda Burns; his children, Herman Ray Burns, Jr. (Cindy) of Thomas, Loye Ira Burns (Bobbie) of Thomas, Rebecca Burns Sharp of Parsons, Brittany Burns Carr (Tyler) of Oakland, Bryan Burns of Oakland and Brandon Burns (Grace) of Oakland; and his sisters, Rebecca Lynn Burns Lipscomb (Gary) of Parsons and Zetta Jean Sweitzer of Oakland. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.
