He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Campbell and Gladys Hughart Campbell; his siblings, Donald Campbell and Della Mae Hughart; his son Daniel Wayne Campbell; and his grandson Matthew Stephen Campbell.

He is survived by: his wife Julia Ann Burdette Campbell; his children, Janice Lynn Harper (Thomas) and David Alan Campbell; and his grandchildren, Stacy Lynn Harper Sampson and Justin Daniel Campbell. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
