It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vava Jane Shaffer of Terra Alta, West Virginia, born in Oakland, Maryland, who passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Bowman and Lorene Bowman (Glotfelty); and her sister-in-law Deloris Shaffer Slawter. She is survived by: her husband Darrell Shaffer of Terra Alta; her sister Becky Cosner (Rick) of Oakland; and her brothers-in-law, Mike Shaffer (Vickie) of Terra Alta and James Slawter of Aurora. She is also survived by one niece; three nephews; three great nieces and three great nephews.
Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allows, are to wear a mask.
