With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hugh Clinton Mayne of Terra Alta, West Virginia, born in Rowlesburg, West Virginia, who passed away on April 13, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervie Sanford and Pearl Owens Mayne; his daughter Diana Riley; his grandchildren, Amanda Riley, Jeffrey Whitehair and Amber Ponto; and his great grandchildren, Emmett and Kaydin.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen R. Kelly Mayne; his children, Hugh C. Mayne, Jr. (Anna) of Terra Alta, Rodney R. Mayne (Lisa Ponto) of Cheyenne, WY and Kim Whitehair (Earl Lantz) of Cumberland; his brother Bud Mayne (Judy) of Grafton; and his grandchildren, Matthew Riley, Bobby Riley, Jon Whitehair (Becca), Anthony Mayne, Scottie Mayne (Krystal), Joshua Mayne, Veronica Collins, Megan Mayne and Ashley Ponto. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
