He is survived by: his wife Vickie Stemple; his stepdaughter Nicole Lewis (Jon) of Philippi; his son Gary Stemple Jr. of Washington, DC; his siblings, David Stemple (Debbie) of St. George, Jim Stemple (Delores) of Rowlesburg, Katherine Brown (Charlie) of Mt. Nebo, Ruth Slaubaugh (Ralph) of Aurora and Judy Hughes (Stephen) of Aurora; and his stepgrandchildren, Skyler, Sebastian Zinchook and Bailee Lewis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
