With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest Delano Metheny (Terra Alta, West Virginia), who passed away on February 26, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolly Marie and Arlington Donald Metheny; and his siblings, Elva Laurie and Donald Duwaine. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Gary Metheny (Christine) of Fairmont, Kevin Metheny of Terra, Lisa Carpenter (Chuck LaRue) of Terra and E. Bradley Metheny of Terra; his grandchildren, Lakin Thomas, Brittany Prunty, Hunter Carpenter of Terra Alta and Brett Metheny of Richmond, VA; his great grandchildren, Treyton and Jaxon of Terra Alta; his brothers, Howard Metheny (Barbara) of Terra Alta and Everett Metheny (Beverly) of Ridgely, WV; and his sister-in-law Betty Metheny of Tunnelton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Faith Church, Corinth Church, Otterbein Church.
