He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Arnett Sr. and Dorothy Pauline Sears Adkins; and his sisters, Norma Jean Hicks and Freda Ann Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Betty Marie Jones Adkins; his sons, Howard Arnett Adkins III of Talcott and Justin Blaine Adkins; his granddaughters, Sumner Kincaid Adkins of Lewisburg and Schulyer Kincaid Adkins of Lewisburg; his sisters, Jerolee Cales (Michael) of Talcott, Arnell Seldomridge (Tim) of Lewisburg, Cindy Spangler (Bob) of Charlotte, NC and Wilma Gardisky of Hinton; and his siblings-in-law, Gary, James Jones, Sharon Poling and Loretta Walker. He is also survived by his boys, family, friends, and his four dogs.
