He is survived by: his wife Peggy Slater; his daughters, Diana Rose Slater and Melissa Sue Matthews (Ricky); his sisters, Kay Ascough and Mabel Hale; and his grandchildren, Emma Rose and Tommy "Cody". He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
