It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Yeager of Switzer, West Virginia, born in Branchland, West Virginia, who passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Lloyd Yeager; his wife Clella Yeager; his son Terry Lee Yeager; his daughter-in-law Linda Sims Yeager; his sister Mae Messinger; and his cousin Gen.

He is survived by : his girlfriend Peggy Jean Hodge; his children, Cindy Damron (Mark) and Gary Yeager (Mori); his grandchildren, Justin Stapleton (Olivia), Stephen Stapleton (Kishia), Erin Eddins (Joe), Adam Yeager (Lindsay), Katie Yeager and Scott Bittinger; his great grandchildren, Kayne, Kylie, Emmett, Lillian, Hudson, Anniston, Ellison, Stiles, Jolie, Quinn, Lexy and Tyler; his daughter-in-law Cindy McCloud Yeager; and his close friends, Sam Pinion of Sheriff, P. D, Clemens, Colonel Jack Chambers, J. J. Frye, Dickie Browning, Glenn Ables and Jabo Adams.

Visitation was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home, Inc. (220 Main St, Chapmanville, WV 25508). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
