He was predeceased by: his father Louis Wade; his daughters, Virgie Elizabeth Chapman and Ella Conrad; his siblings, Willard Chapman, Arthur Ray Chapman, Lela Beale (Owen) and Gladys Bragg; and his brother-in-law Chuck Bragg.
He is survived by: his mother Virgie Adeline McCourt Chapman; and his children, Carol White of Birch River, Betty Elaine Selman (Steve) of Birch River, Gerald Freeman Chapman of Ansted, Warren Wade Chapman of Caldwell, Carl Vernon Chapman of Huntington, Ellen Carelene House (Ronnie) of Webster Springs, Gladys Renee Ellison (Buck) of Webster Springs, Carolyn Pauline Postelwait (Richard) of Valley Head, Paul David White of Weirton and Shannon Nicole Shaffer (Shawn) of Craigsville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
