He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy B. Cogar and Anna Glennith Cogar (Roby); and his brother Roy Edward "Eddy" Cogar. He is survived by: his daughter Betsy Cogar of Sutton, WV; his siblings, Craig Cogar of Sutton, WV, Kenneth Cogar (Kathy), Carolyn Canfield (Jim Dobbins) and Shelva Webb (Charles); and his grandchildren, Tyler Marsh and Breanna Marsh.
