She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lockley and Leta Walker; her husband James B. Burns, Sr.; her children, James B. Burns, Jr. and Barbara A Burns Carpenter; her siblings, George Lockley, Charles Lockley, Sr., James Lockley, John Lockley, Mary Grimes and Ella Doleman; and her great grandchildren, Shaunte Burns, David Burns, Jr. and Jana Burns.
She is survived by: her daughters, Edna Smith of Summit Point, WV., Martha Burns (Teenie) of Summit Point, WV., Doris Burns of Summit Point, WV. and Toni Payton (Charles) of Rippon, WV.; and her sisters, Josephine Lockley and Edith Slaughter of Berryville, VA.. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 48 great-Grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren.
