He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Belmont and Maura Finn Belmont. He is survived by: his wife Susan Lynn Verdoni Belmont; his children, Hope Belmont of Peru, Faith Belmont of Sugar Grove, Grace Belmont of Sugar Grove, Mercy Belmont of Sugar Grove and Christian Belmont of Thailand; and his brother Michael Belmont of Minnesota.
