He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Bennett and Alpha Bennett (Sponaugle); his wife Opal Darlene McCoy "Darlene"; his great grandchild Kylee June Bennett; and his siblings, Delane Etta Bennett, Paul, Raymond, Hartsel, Guy and Richard.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven Bennett (Debbie) and Michael Dale Bennett (Cheryl Walker) of Damascus, MD; his grandchildren, Steven Kyle Bennett (Tess) and Jaime McDonald (Colin) of Monrovia, MD; his great grandchildren, Keagan Timothy McDonald and Brendan Rory McDonald; his sister Judy Stout (Dywayne) of Franklin, WV; his sister-in-law Nancy Bennett of Sugar Grove, WV; and his aunt Idelta Lambert (Sponaugle) of Circleville, WV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
