She was predeceased by: her parents, Clark William Johnson and Thelma Jane Johnson Douglas; and her brothers, Charles E. Coburn and Leverne Douglas. She is survived by: her husband Dexter Cleo VanGilder Jr.; her sons, Michael W. Binegar (Angelica) of Germany and Bryan C. VanGilder (Deniz) of Alexandria, VA; her grandchildren, T'Aja K. Blake and Elizabeth VanGilder; and her great grandchild Kaia E. Blake. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
