She was predeceased by: her parents, John Purgitt and Eugenia Purgitt (Gurd) of Keyser, WV.; her husband James Edward "Eddie" Dorsey; her sisters, Vauda Mae Purgitt and Anna Elizabeth Millar (Purgitt); and her great grandchild Ava Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, James E. Dorsey II (Sheila) of Clarksburg, Brian M. Dorsey (Jeanne) of Marietta, Kelly E. Shaw of Clarksburg and Juliana I. Dorsey of Clarksburg; her grandchildren, Anna Matheny (Jason), Robbie Shaw, Lisa Dawson (Matt), Marcus Dorsey (Jackie), J. D. Shaw, Katy Post (Zac), Jared Coe and Jacob Coe; her stepgrandchildren, Rick Quinn and Tracy Pinion of Clarksburg; and her pet Bozo. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
