He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry William Gardner Sr. and Helen Myrtle Milliren Gardner; and his siblings, Harry William Gardner Jr, Donald Wayne Gardner, Elizabeth Naoma Newbrough and Anne Mae Heater.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Constance Rinehart Gardner; and his brothers-in-law, Thomas Victor Rinehart Sr. of Stonewood and Robert Rinehart (Christina) of Clarksburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
