He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Mae Broadstone Ayers; his sons, Daniel Ayers, II (Dorothy) of Stonewood and James Ayers (Christina) of Stonewood; his grandchildren, Debra Ayers, Kimberly Gaston (Robbie), Rebecca Ayers (Tyler), KayLynne Ayres, Gabriel Ayers, Rayna Ayers and Isabella Ayers; his great grandchild Allison Gaston; and his siblings, Jerry Ayers of Bridgeport, Thomas Ayers (Kathy) of California, Nancy Wiseman (Paul) of West Milford, Tamma Porter of West Milford, Tonya Labenne of Spelter and Hope Hill (Brad) of Lumberport. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
