He was predeceased by : his parents, William Hubert Asbury and Beaulah Mae Marrs Asbury; and his brothers, William Asbury (Tommy), Kenneth Asbury and Dennis Asbury.

He is survived by : his significant other Etta Rae Asbury; his brother Eddie Asbury; his daughter Dee Dee Asbury; his grandchildren, Zamariah Madison and Blaze Madison; and his nephew William Asbury. He is also survived by cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
