He was predeceased by: his parents, Ison Conley and Mary Miller Conley; and his siblings, Kevin Conley, Noreen Conley and Orma Kiser.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Conley; his children, Teresa A. Sexton (Scott) of Concord, N. C. and Carl E. Conley of Mocksville, N. C.; his grandchildren, Trevor S. Sexton, Spencer T. Sexton and Jonessa K. Conley; and his siblings, Larry Conley, Jean Epling of Spencer and Eileen Matics of Spencer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
