She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey S. Samples and Lenore Massey Samples; her brothers, Gale Samples, William B. "Billy" Samples and Harvey S. "Junior" Samples, Jr.; and her son-in-law George O'Dell.
She is survived by: her husband Gary McKown; her children, Stacy Kay O'Dell of Parkersburg, Stephny May Lietuvnikas (Steven M.) of Clear Spring and Samuel G. McKown (Amanda E.) of Spencer; her grandchildren, Gabriel J. G. McKown, Brynn McKown Lietuvnikas of Clear Spring, Charlotte Elizabeth McKown of Spencer and Scarlett Gray McKown of Spencer; and her sisters, Carol Rush (Larry) of Lorain, Barbara Farley (Joe) of Ocala, Fla., Connie Ferrell (Kermit) of Nashville, Tenn and Christine Walker (Daniel).
