It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paris Parsons (Spencer, West Virginia), born in White Oak, West Virginia, who passed away on January 2, 2019, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cary Benton and Ethel Boggs Parsons; his wife Orva Parson; his brothers, Garfield Parsons and Spencer Parsons; his sons-in-law, Orville Earl and Tom Shaffer; his children, Judith Shaffer of Canton, Ohio, Betty Earl of Parkersburg, WV and Bob (Pat Parsons); his grandchildren, Diane, Cathy, Mark, Chris, Lisa and Rob; and his great grandchildren, Heath, MaryBeth, Garrett, Rylee, Ryker, Liam, Brody and Dylan. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given, in honor of Paris Parsons, to the Roane County Animal Shelter, 2550 Parkersburg Rd., Spencer, WV 25276.
