He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and May Bethel Strickland Nida; his brother John Nida; and his nephew Wesley Godbey. He is survived by: his sister Mary Godbey of Indiana; and his nieces, Wanda Godbey of Looneyville, Tammy Nichols of Spencer and Melinda Burdette of Montgomery. He is also survived by several grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
