He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Meadows and Myrtle Nida Meadows; and his siblings, Ivy Cox, Emmie Payne, Larry Meadows and Gay Ashley.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Meadows; his children, Eddie Meadows (Ann) and Tammy Cottrell; his grandchildren, Alex Cottrell, Janett Meadows, Amanda Meadows, Emily Boyce and Leslie Boyce; and his siblings, Jack Meadows (Cathy), James Meadows (Charlotte), Wanda Payne (Clifford) and Violet Deems (Charles). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
