It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dessie Rhodes of Spencer, West Virginia, who passed away on August 29, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Pursley and Ruby McDade Pursley; her husband Delbert Rhodes, Jr.; and her son Stephen Rhodes. She is survived by: her daughters, Judith Stalnaker and Michelle Flesher; her sisters, Dorthea Bartlett and Cora Raines; her grandchildren, Stephen Rhodes, Gretchen Carter (Matthew Carter), Abigail Stalnaker, Evan Flesher and Caleb Flesher; and her great grandchildren, Lily Rhodes, Grayson Rhodes, Matthew Carter, Jr. and Colin Carter.
