He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Grace and Frederick Earl Combs; his son Michael David Combs; his brother Frederick E. Combs; his brother-in-law David E. Jarvis; and his parents-in-law, Otto Jarvis and Helen Jarvis.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Combs; his daughter Michelle L. Wilt (Jeffery); his granddaughter Ava Briella Wilt; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Combs of Marietta and Sharon Jarvis of Letart. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He participated in the Roane General Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament for several years.
