She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Allen and Freda Ashby Carpenter; and her brothers, Ronnie and Jimmy Carpenter. She is survived by: her husband Ron Cross; her daughter Twila Cross; her granddaughters, Alicia and Marissa Mills; her great grandchild Aveena Trout; and her siblings, Johnny, Randle Carpenter and Carolyn Carpenter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
