He was predeceased by: his parents, Okey Shingleton and Myrtle Elizabeth Hartzell Shingleton; and his siblings, Helen Lavone Saporita, Barbara Helms and Delbert Lee Shingleton (Joe Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Sue Shingleton (Patterson); his son Thomas Earl Shingleton Jr. (Johnna); his grandchildren, Kelsey Wilson (Gabe), Carley and Camryn Shingleton; his great grandchildren, Emerson and Knox; his daughter Janene McCarty (Pat); his grandchildren, Coty Shingleton (Leah), Abby Rader (Justin), Maggy McCarty and Lilly McCarty; and his great grandchild Sawyer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harmer Funeral Home (300 Pike St, Shinnston, WV 26431). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
