With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allen Thompson of Spanishburg, West Virginia, born in Bluefield, West Virginia, who passed away on May 8, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Freal Thompson and Eleanor Huffman Thompson; his son Larry Thompson; his brothers, Jerry Thompson and Freal Thompson, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Nancy Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Peyton Thompson; his children, Tammy Thompson of Spanishburg, Allen Thompson (Sharon) of Rock and Adam Thompson (Renea) of Spanishburg; his sisters, Glenda Ford (Steve) of Athens, Delores Harmon (Dewey) of Lashmeet and Geneve Jenkins (David) of Kegley; and his sister-in-law Brenda Thompson of Athens. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
