It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Otis Cales of Smoot, West Virginia, born in Sandstone, West Virginia, who passed away on December 13, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Spurgeon Cales and Delphia Mae Bragg Cales; his son Delbert Lee Cales; and his son-in-law Kerry Smith. He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Kathy" Cales; his children, Debra Coats (Kenny) and Doc Cales of Smoot; his brother Charles H. Cales of Sandstone; his grandchildren, Otis James Cales and Priscilla Smith; and his daughter-in-law Patty Cales. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
