He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Bowie and Arwanda Bowie (Brooks); his siblings, Douglas Bowie, Joe Bowie and Ruth Boylen; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Bowie and Jim Damron.
He is survived by: his fiancée Janice Haught; his stepchildren, Crystal Leek (Mike) and Carl Haught (Beverly) of Smithfield; and his siblings, Curtis Bowie (Joann) of Cairo, WV, Rodney Bowie of Glendale, WV and Cathy Damron of Huntington, WV. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
