He is survived by: his former wife Shirley Persinger; his sons, Kenneth Persinger and James B. Persinger; his grandchildren, Kord Mullins, Courtney Saunders and Syless Persinger; and his great grandchild Eli Saunders. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
