It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Arthur of Smithers, West Virginia, born in Longacre, West Virginia, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Emery and Grace Lee Kidd McCoy; her husband John William Arthur, Jr.; and her siblings, James E. McCoy Jr. and Phyllis J. Nutter.
She is survived by: her sons, Johnny B. Arthur of Oak Hill and J. David Arthur; her grandchildren, John Emery Arthur (Mary) of Oak Hill and Wren Noelle Arthur of Montana; her great grandchild Grayson Arthur of Oak Hill; her brother Jack McCoy (Barbara) of Smithers; her nephew Joseph McCoy (Maggie) of Sissonville; and her nieces, Grace Ann Nutter and Amy Nutter of Smithers.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions bd made to Campbell Memorial Baptist Church, Smithers, WV.
