He was predeceased by: his siblings, William J. Tackett, Raymond P. Tackett, Faird Tackett, Jr., John B. Tackett, Marjorie E. Young, Mary K. Bettit and Irene Carraway (Margaret L. Tackett); and his son Robert Stanley Tackett (Buddy).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret L. Tackett; his brother Franklin D. Tackett; his children, Shelia F. Madison and Bert Harry Tackett, Jr.; his grandchildren, Amy E. Harwood, Kimberly A. McAndrews and Brielle H. Parker; and his great grandchildren, Christopher M. McAndrews, Abigail L. Harwood, Taylor M. McAndrews and Brandon T. McAndrews. He is also survived by three children.
