He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Clay McNiel and Elsie Louise McNiel (Parkey). He is survived by: his wife Susan F. Baker of Slanesville; his sons, Robert H. McNiel, Jr. of Bluemont, VA and Daniel A. McNiel (Amy) of Ashburn, VA; the mother of his children Jill S. McNiel; his grandchildren, Clayton McNiel, Wyatt McNiel, Brookelynn McNiel and Adelynn McNiel; his sister RoseMary M. Haines of Oakton, VA; and also Ruth "Tilly" Wratchford. He is also survived by many sisters and brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
