He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Hartline and Creola Wright Hartline; his wife Betty Hartline; his children, Belinda Hartline (William), Latisha Harline, Arthur Peck (Tonya), Nancy Otto (Daniel), Joshua Otto (Jonathan), Heather Otto and Matthew Otto (Casandra); and his brother Roger "Buck Wheat" Hartline. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sistersville Volunteer Fire Department (121 Maple Ln, Sistersville, WV 26175).
