He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Edward Ray; and his grandparents, Aubrey, Ada Johnson, Charles and Ruby Ray.
He is survived by: his mother Betty Ann Ray (Johnson); his wife Terri Ray (Dempsey); his children, Aaron Ray (Jessica) and Lindsey Redden (Austin); his brother Steve Ray; his grandchildren, Sofia, Piper and Clara; his parents-in-law, Jim and Patty Dempsey; his brother Mike; his sister-in-law Tiffany Dempsey; his nephew Jacob; and his nieces, Emily and Katie. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, students and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Dunbar United Methodist Church Choir at 1401 Myers Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.
